Phrases to use for language of choice

 

Here are some examples which might help to keep emotional level low whilst giving students a chance to make good choices.

 

I would prefer it if…
I’m not sure that would be a good choice to make…
You might want to do that, but I would prefer it if …
You may choose to do that, but it may cause you a problem
Perhaps you might like to …
Perhaps I could suggest that….
You might like to …
If you were to try to… then perhaps…..
It looks like there’s a problem today with … perhaps you would like to….
