Sanctions and rewards
This workshop helps staff to use effective sanctions and rewards in a supportive behaviour management style.
How will it help?
By looking at appropriate sanctions, levelled to match the presenting behaviour
By ensuring that sanctions are seen as an opportunity for student learning rather than a chance for teacher revenge
By having a spectrum of responses and being flexible
By making sure that rewards are achievable for all students
By ensuring that records are kept to show even distribution and fairness to all students
By developing a hierarchy of referral
