Strengths

This programme is built on consistency. Noticing the good and rewarding it, managing as much of the unwanted behaviour with good choice questioning and time recovery. If sheets or records are issued for negative behaviour, remembering it is resolution we are aiming at, not for compliance by force, but a negotiated outcome.

If students still have difficulties, then target or tracker sheets recording their successes on a daily basis will help them see that you really are trying to help them to manage their behaviour positively.

Levelling is a key and with green sheets or records , it is important to issue sheets or records appropriate to the individual where possible. Look for opportunities to reward that additional effort a student has made over and above what would normally be expected.

Catch them being good is a strategy which is used extensively in this programme and does require some differences in approach, especially if it is new to you.
